TUTORIAL Organization admin

Configure Your Organization Settings and Approvals

Set the early start window, require approval before events go public, and accept member organizations from your organization's Settings page.

Applies to: Organization admins

Your organization's Settings page is where you decide how events under your name are run and published. Open it from the organization admin area. Each block below is its own card with its own save behavior, so you can change one without touching the others.

General Settings

The General Settings card shows your Organization Name and URL Slug, plus the address of your admin area. For most organizations these fields are read-only, and a notice at the top of the page says settings are managed by support. To change the name or slug, contact support. The same applies to the Early Force-Start Window described next.

Event Settings

Early Force-Start Window (hours) sets how long before an event's scheduled start an organizer can force the event to begin. Enter a whole number from 0 to 24. Leave it empty and the system default applies. Organizers of your events see this limit when they try to start early, so pick a value that matches how you run your days.

When the field is editable, press Save Event Settings to apply it.

Publication approval

By default, an organizer publishes an event and it goes public straight away. Turn on Events under our patronage need our approval and your organization reviews events first.

The setting covers events where your organization is the primary owner. Two groups skip the review:

  • Trusted organizers: members you mark as trusted. Use Choose trusted organizers to jump to the Members page, where you flip the switch per person. See Members and Trusted Organizers.
  • Trusted academies: academies affiliated with you that you mark as trusted. Use Choose trusted academies to jump to the affiliations page.

Your own admins never wait for approval: when an admin of your organization publishes, the event goes live. Separately, an organizer whose delegated powers require approval always goes through review, even if the toggle is off. Delegated powers are covered in Organizer grants.

The toggle saves the moment you change it, and a confirmation appears.

Reviewing events

Events waiting for a decision appear under Pending Events in the admin menu, in a table showing the event, its organizer, when it was submitted and its location.

  • Approve publishes the event immediately and removes it from the list.
  • Reject opens the Reject Publication Request window. Add a reason if you like (it is optional) and press Reject Event. The event returns to draft and the organizer is notified with your reason, so they can fix it and submit again.

Member organizations

If this card appears, you can control whether other organizations may ask to become members of yours. Turn on Accept member organizations to receive link requests. Members can then ask you to recognise their events. Recognition never gives you access to manage those events. The full flow is in Organization Network and Event Recognition.

Turning the switch off stops new requests. Links that already exist stay in place. If you do not see the card, the network feature is not available to your organization yet.

Two shortcuts live here: Fee Templates for reusable fee structures, and Locations when your organization uses saved venues.

Danger Zone

Deleting the organization is not available from the page. The Delete organization button is disabled, and you contact support to proceed.
