Organization Network and Event Recognition
Link your organization to a parent, ask it to recognise your events, and understand what recognition does and does not give. For organization admins and organizers.
Applies to: Organization admins · Organizers
Organizations can relate to each other on Hajime. A member organization links to a parent, and an event of the member can ask that parent to recognise it. Recognition is public credit and league eligibility. Nothing more.
What recognition gives, and what it doesn't
A recognised event shows a "Recognised by" badge with a link to the parent's page. It appears in the parent's list of recognised events. The parent can add it to its leagues.
Recognition gives the parent no access to manage the event. It cannot edit it, see its registrations, athlete data, documents or payments, or check anyone in. It cannot see the event while it is a draft. If you want another organization to help run an event, add it as a co-owner instead. That is a different thing.
Accept member organizations (parents)
By default your organization does not appear as a possible parent. To receive link requests, open your organization's Settings and turn on Accept member organizations. Turning it off later stops new requests. Existing links stay in place.
Link to a parent (members)
- Open Network in your organization admin area and go to the Parent organizations tab.
- Pick an organization from the list. Only organizations that accept members appear.
- Send the request.
The parent's admins are notified and approve or reject it. You can withdraw a pending request at any time with the Withdraw button. A rejected request is closed: send a new one if you want to try again. A request to an organization that has since stopped accepting members shows that it no longer accepts them.
To leave an approved link, use Leave on the same tab.
The parent sees your request under the Member organizations tab, where it approves or rejects it. It can also remove a member later.
Ask for recognition of an event
- Open your event and go to its Recognition panel.
- Choose a parent from the list and add an optional note.
- Send the request.
Only parents you are linked to appear. Academy-owned events use the academy's affiliation with the organization. The event must be published, or further along: open for registration, closed, with brackets finalized, or live. Drafts, completed and cancelled events cannot ask.
The parent's admins find the request under Network, in Recognition requests, and approve or reject it. You can withdraw a pending request, or an approved recognition, until the event completes or is cancelled. After that, withdrawing and revoking are refused.
Revoking and ended links
A parent can revoke an approved recognition until the event completes or is cancelled. Revoking removes the badge and takes the event out of that parent's leagues.
If a link ends, or an academy's affiliation with the organization ends, its pending recognitions are withdrawn and its approved ones revoked, for events that have not completed. Event organizers are notified. Completed events keep their recognition and their league entry.
Leagues
A parent's league admin can add events owned by the parent and events it has recognised. Recognised events are labelled "Recognised" in the picker. Approval does not add the event on its own: the league admin chooses.

No. Recognition never gives management access.
What if I change the date or venue after approval?
The recognition stands. The parent's admins are notified and can revoke it.
