Invite Members and Mark Organizers as Trusted
Invite people to your organization, choose their role, and let trusted organizers publish events without waiting for your approval.
Applies to: Organization admins
The Members page lists everyone in your organization with their role and status. Open it from the admin menu. From here you invite people, change roles, and decide which organizers can publish without review.
Roles
- Admin: runs the organization. Admins reach the whole admin area, including settings, approvals, members and affiliations.
- Organizer: creates and runs events under your organization's name.
- Member: belongs to the organization but does not create events for it.
Other admins cannot be changed, suspended or removed from this page, and you cannot modify your own entry.
Invite a member
- Press Invite Member.
- Enter the person's Email and pick a Role: Admin, Organizer or Member.
- Press Send Invitation.
They receive an email invitation and show as Pending until they join. If the address already belongs to a member, you get a message saying so.
Find and manage people
Search by email, or filter by role and by status (Active, Pending, Suspended). Each row has an actions menu:
- Promote to Organizer or Demote to Member changes the role.
- Manage powers appears for organizers and opens the page where you set what each organizer may do. See Organizer grants.
- Suspend pauses a member without deleting them, and Activate brings them back.
- Remove takes them out of the organization, after a confirmation.
Trusted organizers
If your organization requires approval for events under its patronage, every organizer's events wait in your queue before going public. A trusted organizer skips that step.
- Turn on Events under our patronage need our approval in your organization's Settings. See Configure Your Organization Settings and Approvals.
- On the Members page, find the organizer.
- Switch on Trusted: publishes without approval under their role badge.
You see this switch only on organizers, and only while approval is required. When approval is off, a note on the page links to the setting. The change applies to events published from then on, and a confirmation tells you the organizer is now trusted. Switch it off again whenever you want.
Trust only counts for an active organizer. If you suspend someone, or promote them to admin, the switch stays dormant. A trusted organizer whose delegated powers still require approval is reviewed anyway.
Members and judges
The Members page covers people who work for your organization. Judges are handled separately, in the Judges area of the admin menu, where you invite judges to your pool or accept their requests.
