Acknowledge the Code of Conduct as a Coach

What academy owners and managers see when an event with minors asks them to confirm the code of conduct and safeguarding policy, where to read the documents, and what your click records.

Applies to: Academy owners and managers

Some events with minors ask the coaches of the registered academies to confirm they have read the organizer's code of conduct and safeguarding policy. If your academy has a registration in such an event, you see a request on the event's page in your academy admin.

Find the Request

Open the event from your academy admin. At the top, a banner titled Please acknowledge the event rules lists the documents to read. It only appears while something is waiting for you, and it disappears once you have confirmed.

Read the Documents

Each document in the banner is a link that opens the file in a new tab. Read them before you confirm: the banner is the only place you need, even if your registration is not yet confirmed.

Confirm

Choose I have read and accept. One click records, for every document in the banner, that you acknowledged it, with the date and time. Nothing else changes for you or your athletes.

When a New Version Appears

An acknowledgment belongs to a version of the document. If the organizer links a newer version, the banner comes back and asks again.

What It Does Not Do

It is advisory. Not confirming never blocks your athletes' registration or check-in, but the organizer can see who has not yet confirmed and may remind you with a notification. The confirmation is a record that you were made aware of the rules, not a signature.

You Do Not See the Banner?

You are asked only while your academy has a registration in the event that is not withdrawn, and only if the organizer turned the request on. If your registrations are all withdrawn, the banner goes away.
