Managing an Affiliation Brand
How to create and configure an affiliation brand on Hajime, how brand verification works, and how to review incoming membership requests from academies.

An affiliation brand is a verified identity like "Gracie Barra" or "Alliance" that academies can join. Here's how to get one set up, configure its profile, and manage the academies that request to join it.
Requesting a Brand
Brands on Hajime are set up by our team to keep brand identities trustworthy and prevent impersonation. To get your brand created:
- Register or log in to your Hajime account (this account will become the brand owner).
- Go to the contact form and choose the Brand / Affiliation topic.
- Tell us your brand name and the account email that should own it.
Our team creates the brand and assigns ownership to your account. Once that's done, your brand has a public page and an admin section where you can manage settings and incoming academy requests.
Brand Profile Settings
You can configure the following from your brand's admin settings:
- Name: the public display name of the brand (e.g. "Gracie Barra").

Slug: a unique URL identifier (e.g.
gracie-barra). The slug is set once at creation and cannot be changed afterwards, since it forms the permanent URL for your brand. - Description: a free-text description shown on your public brand page. Markdown is supported.
- Logo: a square image used as the brand's icon throughout the platform.
- Cover image: a wide banner image shown at the top of your public brand page.
- Website URL: an optional link to your brand's official website.
Note: The slug is permanent. Choose it carefully: it will be the URL that academies, athletes, and spectators bookmark.
Verification
Verification is a trust signal that Hajime superadmins grant after confirming the identity of the brand's representative. It prevents impersonation of well-known brands.
Verification statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Unverified | The brand exists but has not been reviewed. |
| Pending | A verification request has been submitted and is awaiting review. |
| Verified | A Hajime administrator has confirmed the brand's identity. A verified badge appears on the brand's public page. |
Requesting verification
- Go to your brand's admin settings.
- Click Request Verification.
A Hajime administrator will review your brand and contact you if additional information is needed. There is no set turnaround time, but most reviews are completed within a few business days.
Verification does not affect your ability to accept academy memberships or appear in search. It only adds the trust badge to your public page.
Managing Academy Membership Requests
When an academy requests to join your brand, you will see the request in your brand's admin panel, under member requests.
From there you can:
- Approve: the academy is added to your brand. Their athletes' results will show your brand going forward.
- Reject: the request is declined. The academy can reapply later.
There is no limit to the number of member academies. Approved academies appear on your public brand page.
Your Public Brand Page
Your brand's public page is visible to everyone, including non-registered users. It shows:
- Brand logo and cover image
- Description
- Website link
- Verification badge (if verified)
- Member academies and their competitive highlights
The page reflects the current state of your brand profile and member academies automatically, so there's nothing extra to update after you make a change.
